Captain Oblivious
Cat! Lookout! Behind you! Cat! Okay, at level 120 she’s probably not in much danger really. I don’t know why I even try. We have been derping around the world totally clueless. I mean it’s fun but I’m totally out of touch.
For example this. I don’t know if I make these things up but I thought there was a time when you could set that you were away and when you came back and used the cursor it turned green again.
So I just noticed it doesn’t and to anyone looking I went down the hall for a bathroom break about five years ago and never came back. Did not notice and I don’t think I remembered to change it. Kind of like not noticing Oondasta up there right behind us.
So yeah, Cat and I are just having fun being clueless and goofing off listening to … um demonic music boxes and sightseeing.
And then we spotted the BEST mount! A mount we had to have. It must be new! I will investigate!
Welp. Apparently a vendor has been standing in a cave in Nazmir since patch 8.1, like last December. That’s how oblivious we are.
Okay, I knew better than to go to Wowhead to get those links. I have no idea what is going on but every time I visit them the result is this: 555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555555 and on and on until I reboot. What is up with that? It’s a shame cause I used to live there for info.
Anyway Cat loves her frog, it was kind of pricey so although they come in three colors she was frugal and bought just the one. She used her Anglers’ Water Striders her buddy Pat Nagle send her and she’s good to go. Last time I saw her they were hopping across the water towards the two new patch 8.2 zones to make everyone love her an exalted amount so we can fly once again!

Why do you want to be a Fly? Won’t the other frogs just snatch you out of the sky? Flies are overrated.

We’re good. Mr Harpy has been murmuring about resubbing for a bit now the youngest Harpy is over 1 and sleeps for more than 30 minutes at a time. I made the mistake of having a look at content/blogs etc and now I’m almost 99 percent sure I want to fall back down the rabbit hole.

Ha! That’s good to hear, you guys get a whole 30 minutes of peace now! Our daughter WOULD NOT sleep. Didn’t change when she got older either.
One day when she was around 13 she forgot to clean up the evidence in her closet. I found a blanket and desk lamp in there. She would read all night in her closet. Finally found out why she was so hard to wake up, lol.

@tome My mum thinks it’s very much karma. Apparently I never slept until I was well into my teens. She’s almost unbelievable smug about it now and understandably refuses to babysit for Little harpy and not quite a baby anymore harpy!

I laughed hard at your moniker of Captain Oblivious. I’m not always known for paying attention, but my son as had the nickname “Captain Oblivious” since he was little. When he was in Kindergarten and First Grade, there were a few girls who would walk by him greeting him in a sing-song voice.
His reaction? “Oh, hi.” And he’d go right back to doing whatever.
He recently had that happen again, right before his high school graduation, and I turned to my wife and said “Captain Oblivious lives!”
So yeah, you’d expect that when you came back it’d turn green again or something, but what do we know? I guess that’s not high on a developer’s punch list.

Ha! I am not alone! Yeah, I blame it on Cat but this is me IRL all the time. I once took one of those personality tests and I couldn’t believe how on the spot it was.
It said your house is a mess but it’s not really because you’re a slob it’s because you don’t see it, you are living in your head. They got me!
I don’t know how many times my husband will remark on something just said on the news or a program and I’ll say I didn’t see it and he says but you’re watching it! Not really!

If you’re having problems getting in, try a different browser (if using FF, try Chrome, etc) or clear your cache out (clear cookies / web content). Hard to be more specific without knowing more, but, yeah, they’re still there and working for most of us š

I’ve searched and searched for info on it. It does happen very occasionally at other locations. I keep thinking it might have something to do with NoScript as it’s installed on FF. I just tried IE and didn’t have that problem but did have other problems.
Maybe I’ll download Chrome and try that again as I really can’t live without them. Didn’t happen until recently so I’m thinking something updated on my computer that doesn’t get along.
